Chapter II — Why Juriszen

A Considered Approach to Legal Work

Our practice is built on the belief that legal counsel works best when it is clear, candid, and genuinely attuned to a client's commercial situation.

Deep Knowledge of Thai Law

Our team has worked within the Thai legal framework for over a decade, with direct experience navigating the Civil and Commercial Code, labour law, and foreign business regulations.

Plain-Language Communication

Legal matters affect decisions that involve people, not just documents. We take care to explain what things mean in practice, not only what they say on paper.

Commercial Awareness

Good legal advice considers what you are trying to achieve commercially. We look for paths that are both sound from a legal standpoint and workable within your business context.

Responsive Turnaround

Business decisions rarely wait. We structure our engagements to accommodate realistic timelines, and we communicate proactively when circumstances change.

Transparent Engagement Terms

Scope and fees are agreed at the outset. Clients are not presented with unexpected additions. We believe a clear professional relationship is foundational to good work.

International Clients Welcome

We regularly work with foreign-owned entities and international management teams. All work is conducted in English, with Thai-language documentation handled internally.

Chapter III — Frequently Asked Questions

Questions We Often Hear

Do I need to be a Thai-registered company to engage your services?

No. Juriszen works with a range of clients, including foreign-registered entities exploring Thailand-based operations, representative offices, and individuals involved in commercial matters here. Your legal entity's domicile does not affect your ability to engage us.

How do the retainer arrangements work?

For the Corporate Legal Counsel service, we can work on a monthly retainer, which typically covers a defined scope of ongoing support — advisory queries, document reviews, and regular check-ins. For specific projects, we use a fixed-scope arrangement with agreed deliverables. We discuss which structure fits your situation during an initial consultation.

How long does a contract review typically take?

Most contract reviews are completed within 5 to 10 business days, depending on document length and complexity. Where timing is particularly sensitive, expedited review options may be available — please let us know when you first make contact so we can assess what is possible.

What happens during an initial consultation?

An initial consultation is a focused conversation to understand your situation. We listen to what you need, ask clarifying questions, and share a candid view of what we think is involved — including any aspects where the outcome is uncertain. There is no pressure. The purpose is to help you decide whether and how we might work together.

Do you handle disputes that have already reached litigation?

Our Dispute Resolution Support service is focused on pre-litigation resolution — demand letters, mediation, and arbitration. For matters that have entered the Thai court system, we can provide guidance and, where appropriate, refer you to litigation specialists within our professional network.

Are the stated fees all-inclusive?

The published figures are starting points. Final fees depend on the scope and complexity of the specific matter. Any disbursements — such as government filing fees or third-party costs — are outlined separately before work begins. We do not add costs that were not discussed.
